I once interviewed a high school gymnastics coach who said he had trouble getting boys to come out for the team because of the image issue. He said the key was getting them to come watch a practice. Once the boys saw they’d be out there every day with a room full of pretty girl gymnasts wearing leotards, they were ready to sign up.
I’ve read through the archives once and I did not see this coming.Mind you, when you consider that the guys are required to lift ballerinas into the air, its not an activity for the weak. Think of that male ballet dancer in 9 Chickweed Lane. Okay, he is gay, but he’s hardly weak.
Male ballet dancers don’t wear tutus, so that’s a FEmale ballet dancer’s outfit.Perhaps Jeremy acts the tough bully simply BECAUSE he is trying to deny and suppress his “effeminate tendencies”.
Back in the 80s two muggers tried to mugg a guy in a elevator in New York. He was a dancer. Both the muggers were taken out of the building on stretchers.The dancer had never taken any self defense classes in his life.He told the police that after he kicked the first guy in the head, the second guy was easy…
