Figures Marigold would choose to be an elf if she can’t be an unicorn.

WOW! Marigold looks amazing as a not-unicorn! also a what? Oh well whatever that is Im Looking at one right now. Also (knew this would happen) hard to have an imagination when an expert sits next to you. Still I shall LOVE this arc Its kind of one of many things I aways wanted.

Marigold is an elf. Of course she’s an elf.

Nitpicking false under Search, right? Combing through its hair?(Also, can someone tell if they’re more likely playing 3.5, 4.0, or Pathfinder? Or something else? Or if it’s just generic and not following and actual rulebook?)

That is no way to DM. Where is the descriptive dungeon dressing? “You were traveling the east road when you encounter a Banderlog feasting on the bloody corpse of a horse beside an overturned peddlers cart.”

I would have thought that Marigold’s avatar would have bigger boobs.

Susie the Non-Unicorn looks great! I’m thinking the crown denotes an Elf Princess.

@pmark:D-10s are really quite common; “percentile dice”. Decahedrons. Got a bunch of ’em in all sorts of colours.

I had to roll 3 d-20’s 4 times before I got this (not really)

Huh. My little container of red/purple/gold dice contains not one, but two D10, one marked with 0-9, the other 00-90. Makes rolling for D100 a lot easier than with those unreliable, unblanced D100 dice.

Bandar-log was the name for the monkeys in The Jungle Book, so… yeah.

I thought it was spelled “bandarlog”, with an “a”. But on the other hand, are you referring to the tribe of baboons from Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Books” or erroneously naming a “bandersnatch”?

See? I can nitpick, too. :)

Yes, a d10 isn’t usually found on its own, but as one-half of a percentile set—although I seem to see a lot of (somewhat ridiculous) d100s on sale nowadays, and, of course, there are the rulebooks that want everything to be decided with d20s.

The reference is (quite clearly, given the illustration) to the Banderlog from “Dungeons & Dragons”, though that is in turn generally acknowledged to be named after and somewhat based on Kipling’s Bandar-log.

Not that familiar with d&d but it did remind me of LOTR.

Oh, how I remember the joys of nitpicking with the DM in games of D&D! Once a large troll ambushed our party… but we successfully argued that it couldn’t POSSIBLY be a large troll as it was a very small bridge that we were crossing – and EVERYONE knows that a troll’s size is directly related to the size of its bridge.Although ever since then I have always felt faintly nervous crossing large motorway bridges.

Ah, elves. The only non-unicorns of sufficient almost-perfection to be suitable for a unicorn role player.
