    Good morning Vagabonds.

Well, we are in the middle of our big storm. Very windy and cold but the snow isn’t to deep. Very light and fluffy. It all depends where it drifted. Maybe 6 inches on an average. That’s about what’s on my deck that faces south. Much deeper up north where my son lives. Last night they were reporting 15 inches.

Hope everyone else has better weather.

Good morning Vagabonds..11 below zero this morning (still waiting for it to get cold)We can’t see anything on the other side of the valley this AM, a fine snow and a little wind. (the trees aren’t dancing).Well, It was sometime in the wee hours of the morning 61 yrs ago today I cam into the world yelling.I’m told it was snowing hard, when my dad pulled into my Grandparents driveway the car was pushing snow with it’s front bumper. (the cars were made higher then)I’ve always said the world celebrated my birth with a lot off confetti, it was a great event after all. ;-).Ok, have a nice day..ttfn

We have six inches of snow here on our barrier island this morning and the wind is ripping!!! But then the wind always screams this time of the year … we are sort of “at sea” after all.

    Good morning again.

The storm is tapering off somewhat. Still windy with temp about 10 and the wind chill below zero. Can’t tell if it is still snowing or just blowing around. My deck that had 6 inches on it last night, now has about 20 inches. On the news this morning they said that our town got 19 inches of snow. I don’t know where they measure it, but that’s deep enough for me.Will go out later and clear the driveway and front walk with the snow blower for the mailman. I can take my time as we have no place to go today. Minimum shoveling for me.

@dkram: Stay warm today. Glad I don’t have those temps.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Happy birthday, Mark. May your day be fun and blessed.

There are times when I am really glad I live in the Southern half of the US. Reading all the snow reports above today, this is one of them. It’s about 40 here right now, and expected to get up to 65.

    Hi Ho, Vagabonds,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARK! Your day to do something fun for yourself. :))

Got up to 44 yesterday, and supposed to get to 37 today, and in the single digits for the week end. (Another Arctic Blast)

Be careful with all that snow, you East Coasters! Only shovel what you absolutely must! You don’t want to lift too much of that heavy stuff.

Nevada is nice and warm, huh, Jan? When we went through Vegas, and then headed north, the desert was so pretty! We were there just before sunset, and the shadows on those mountains were just grand. Everything was so clear and crisp. And, the canyon…….the Virgin River Gourge was just magnificent! A favorite part of the trip.
