Long living in “microscopic town” America, not just “small town” makes you aware that versatility is inversely proportional to the distance from a Wal Mart.

‘Open mic’ is simply a rehash of all the days experiences! It’s really no different from chewin’ it up at the ol’ waterin’ hole!!

I’ve driven through towns in upstate NY where I’ve seen signs not too dissimilar from that.

Well I hope you know more about your organ pipes than your scaffolding pipes, or I’d be doubling your public liability, mate …

The biggest joke is when you see your repair bill !But the guy’s in luck. Friday is Open Mic Night and the funniest gets a complimentary lube job.

In the little Wisconsin village where I stay on and off, at the corner of a highway and the village’s main street there’s the only place you can get anything resembling a grocery. It also has a good auto mechanic, and is a hobby shop, with model airplanes hanging from the ceiling. When I’m there they save a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for me every day. I no longer stay in the village during the winter, because I can no longer navigate the icy streets.

We have some like that out here in the Ozarks, but most of them also sell fishing tackle, minnows, and worms.

I was reading the roadside sign for a strip mall. One of the business was the Hawaiian Grill. Directly under that sign was one for the Car Wash.

It got me thinking how funny businesses and organizations would sound if you just put “and Car Wash” behind their names.
