Romneycare was nothing like Obamacare. The Democrat written and passed ACA forces Americans into a federal government controlled system that wipes out all private plans. If you can’t detect the differences you are dense in the brain, for sure.-The Democrat Medicare system wipes out private plans for Americans at age 65. I fought being pushed into it but had no choice….medicare or no insurance at all.-Obamacare was passed and promoted by outright deception and lies. Instead of “saving money” it already has sent costs skyhigh for premiums and co-pays and upfront patient payments to get to the insurance kickin level.-It also is paying less to Doctors and medical facilities and drugstores. My doctor is now a slave of the government system and must work more daily hours after seeing the last patient, doing the paperwork to report all details to Big Daddy Government! And for less recompense.

I wish this were true. I am not a Tea party member but neither do I admire the “leadership” of the Republican Party. Almost all the many people I am in contact with on a day to day basis agree with most of the Tea Party tenets, do not want Obamacare, do not want more govt. debt, do not want the printing of more money to increase inflation, and would like to have a decent full time job.

    Gulliver’s travails.

“Play one”, I’m sure that you, like my own private doctor’s clinic would be able to cut “secretarial staff” considerably with a “single payer” system. They have more folks in accounting, to keep up with all the different insurance mandates from companies, than nurses!

Looking also at the “overhead” that is far less under VA, than in “private”, as well as negotiating drug prices, that MEdicare isn’t allowed to do (thanks to Boehner’s boneheads).

The tea party is a strawman for liberal thinkers. They have little to any influence or power in either house. They’re simply a convenient target. What people forget is that many republicans got elected on a specific promise to fight Obamacare. However, if the Replubicans had gotten off their butts when they had the power and come up with something palatable we wouldn’t be here. Everyone with half a brain knew that the democrats would keep trying to get us to a single payer system ( which is just a focus group rewording of socialized medicine) and republicans did nothing. They should still be fighting for some kind of reform, but they will probably just roll over since none of those in power will be greatly affected by it.

“Mr. King” (house member Peter????)If your judgment calls the t-r-u-t-h “satire” you must lead an interesting life.-“I Play One on TV” —“a doctor”…are you satisfied with the pittances you are paid? I get medicare monthly statements showing the medical $charges, the Medicare payment and the balance owed by me or my medi-gap insurance. The percentages are staggering. “New” doctors" may have a difficult time trying to pay for their schooling, IMO.
