so, if we default, and they want this, will they still support this party after their mortgage payments balloon to $50k/month? after their credit card interest increases to 150%? after no one buys american, domestic and abroad? after their pensions & 401k becomes worthless? after big banks all fail with no bailout? after big business all fail, including the koch brothers? and, after local gov’ts cease to exist to govern(town, county, state)?
Gore, Offer legislation that is productive. If you don’t like ACA offer an amendment to make it better. 40 something symbolic votes is just a waste of time and money. Join the real world and require you congressmen to do some work.
“@EnokiThe Tea Party are Regressive Rightists and they are in the House and they are the core of what is going on, and Boehner is their henchman leader. So you got it backwards as Cons always do.”Correction, Usually do, sometimes they get it correct, which is not always “right”.
Harry Reid apparently believes that HE and the Senate are the ones who determine appropriations… Regardless of what the Constitution has to say about it. Note that gutting a House bill and replacing the contents with Senate words is how ACA got started in the first place, completely usurping the intent of the Constitution and prerogatives of the House. Obama/Reid = Problem, not the solution. Obama/Reid = Refusal to deal with the reality that the People of the United States, via their Representatives in the House, don’t want ACA funded.
The ACA, as the “patriot” act, were both passed legally by reconciliation. Or did I miss where the Supreme Court declared it unconstitutional? I guess they’re just a bunch of RINO’s.Sure, the House originates appropriations, and the Senate can turn them down. Or, why won’t the teabaggers in the House appoint a reconciliation committee to work with the Senate? Because they can’t work with ANYONE.
Whereas progressives can comfort themselves in their fathomless knowledge. That’s why they never have to waste time listening to the lower beings whose brains just aren’t as evolved as theirs and can concentrate on mocking those opposing views.
Funny how we see the “lies, division and failure” coming from the far right side of the aisle. Obama’s done a lot of good, despite the republican boat anchor.

First it was Bush, then it was “the new normal” and now the excuse for all of Barry’s failures in leadership is the tea party.

And as a corollary, as a general rule, the more a person states he loves America, the more Americans he hates.

And no one writes a blank check to the administration.
The US Constitution gives taxing, borrowing and spending authority to Congress. And all such bills must start in the House.
Can you now grasp where the problem is?
