This time I remembered to open the “buy a…” in order to look at the first 2 panels.
PRINCE VALIANT: Does Valiant’s daughter want her husband to take her back?
REX MORGAN:Rex’s file clerk, Summer is mentioned. There are some loose ends tied to summer and her son. I still remember how her son snatched June’s purse several years ago. I suppose in comics’ time that was a few months ago.
MARY WORTH: This might as well be a weekly review a ;a APT3G.
MARY WORTH: @ woodworker – I agree. The conversation at the Bum Boat is a bummer. Could it be possible that this conversation is a set-up for a story arc where Jeff meets “someone else” in Vietnam and brings his new ladylove back to Santa Royale? That sort of thing often happens in real life………….! JUDGE PARKER: Everyone is smiling…except April (last panel).
ALLEY OOP: @ woodworker & david – I am predicting that Alley Oop will have an injury, so Mary Shelley will help Doc take Oop back to the house where Percy Shelley, George Gordon Lord Byron, and Lord Bryon’s personal physician (Dr. Polidari) await her return. How convenient to have a doctor nearby and how fascinating to learn that Lord Byron’s doctor really did accompany him on a tour of Europe back in 1816 (in real life!). Anyone else who wants to take a quick look, see the 8/18 & 8/19 strips:http://www.gocomics.com/alley-oop/2013/08/18#.UlqL5BATXh0
Judge Parker – OK, so who’s the guy at the table?Crankshaft – Now, that’s one I haven’t tried yet.Alley Oop – @Florchi – I hadn’t thought about Polidari’s part in this story. You may be right.
Judge Parker – April never stops doing surveillance.Mary Worth – It’s not only a repeat for us, it’s a repeat for them. Same conversation they had on the boat.

Rex Morgan: I don’t think Rex is too happy seeing Buck again. He has too many things going on without having to deal with this loud mouth.
Mary Worth: This is strip is awful today. Where did they get the dialog from? ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Mark Trail: Glad we get a break from the story line while Mark goes to finish off the elk that Johnny shot.

Judge Parker: I think the guy at the table was following them before, along with the hat lady that went overboard.
