I think you have to speak Deep Sticks as a second lauguage to get this one.
“How’s ya momma and ’em?” A favorite New Orleans Yat-ism.
I’ve been in 47 of the 50 states and have seen “sticks” in every one of them.
This one was suggested to me by a good friend here in central NC. Momma an’ em. I believe there was a movie titled “Daddy and Them” a few years back. Not very good but with a cameo by the great John Prine!
Momma + ‘em = Y’all.
Momma + ‘em “not =” Y’all, unless you’re talkin’ to Momma or one of ’em.
North Dakota: -40 keeps the riffraff out.
Shoot. Ats everyday language. Look at em ducks. Where’s em chickens? Em is everybody…:)
