this is stupid. The tee potty was NOT singled out. with a little research it was shown that there was no single group looked at more than any other. it’s just the tee potty is so loud.
The IRS only enforces tax laws, they don’t make them. If some groups — right and left wing — file incorrect applications for the groups they claim to be in, they get scrutinized. The Koch Brothers have pretty good lawyers and beancounters and their paperwork is probably filled out correctly.
Take the complaint to Congress. They’re the ones who allowed this absurdity.

Perhaps the best solution would be to eliminate IRS code section 501© 3 and 4.
