Equality was not Lucy’s strongest value.

Thirty years later, Lucy told Linus and Rerun that she had 90% rights, while they each had 5%. Three crayons is pretty good by comparison.

Linus is right. You need four colors to color a coloring page in a way that no two adjacent regions have the same color (Four color theorem).

Most printers only need Magenta, Cyan, and Yellow.

Knowing Lucy, those 3 crayons were probably worn down to a nub, anyway.

I think white would be one of the colors.

And yet who always gets away with stuff that would have gotten the oldest child (in my family, that would be me) the death penalty? The younger siblings, that’s who. And who always gets blamed for everything and has to be responsible and sensible? The oldest child, that’s who. So you younger siblings get zero sympathy from me. If we older siblings are “privileged,” it’s because we’ve had to earn it the hard way by also being more responsible and mature. :-P

My approach: I would simply out-awesome Lucy by creatively applying elements to the paper. Grab the Elmer’s and head outside for some loose soils and grass, grab a pen or marker and add some lines of my own, write the colors in poems inside the objects drawn on the paper, etc. There’s all kinds of things to do that Lucy would never think of. Imagination is greater than any other tool, and Lucy can’t deprive Linus of that.

Shoving a crayon up her nostril will be a refreshing start, Linus.

    But it’s up to you.
