Yes, because he goes to the office for fun. And then she gripes because he wants to watch sports. I doubt that she is supporting the family on her Gallery job. Besides, what does her mother do?
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, I’ll cook you clean. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, You cook I’ll clean. Sunday, I’ll tune the car, mow the grass, clean the gutters, and fix the garage door so you can rest.
@KathyMTM No, up until now they had a clear division of labor; at home vs not-at-home. She decided to be not-at-home, so YES, now HE has to do (some of) HER work so SHE can also be not-at-home. There’s nothing “sexist” about it, that’s just the way it was/is.
But the point remains, why aren’t her folks picking up the slack? Has ever been any mention of them paying rent?

Her parents and the kid need to pitch in and help if she’s going back to work. She shouldn’t do it all and neither should he.
