Good morning to you Slim, and to all Vagabonds.

@JanCinLV: Happy birthday to you. Hope you had good meal at the Japanese restaurant last night. I logged on too late to answer you until today. Had a busy day today. First we both had to go to our primary care doctor to get our INR checked, then we went to lunch, and then my wife had an appointment with the endocrinologist. That took care of two hours. He was very pleased with the results of the blood tests for her diabetes and said she was in very good health for her age.

Good morning, Vagabonds. I am almost finished reading “The Crusades,” by Harold lamb, written in the 1940s. Now I want to find someone to give the book to.

Morning, Vagabonds. Back home now.@Jan – Found out late that yesterday was your birthday! Happy Birthday Jan! YAY! WHEE! TOOT TOOT!

@Arye – Already read it. Thought it was boring. So many good stories and the author was so dull in the telling of them.

We rode a swamp boat in Slidell and watched the alligators etc. in their natural habitat. That was fun. The next day we went to the French Quarters. That was a big disappointment. It was dirty and smelly and crowded. All the shops were selling the same old junk. We couldn’t even find a pastry shop. When we finally did, it turned out to be an erotica shop. Needless to say, we didn’t go in. When we did find some interesting souvenirs, they were way overpriced.

And – today just happens to be my birthday, #66. Our German guests say they’ve got something special planned. We’ll see.

And, then Happy Birthday to David also……………..Good to celebrate with friends!

Woke up to lots of wind and SNOW! Woo Hoo! Supposed to warm up tomorrow and the weekend. Sure hope our daughter’s flight isn’t going to be tossed with this wind! She gets in at 12:30, and it’s supposed to still be stormy until much later.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Happy birthday, David. You are only 3 years minus 1 day ahead of me.

We had a wonderful time last night. We sat at a table with a newlywed couple having their wedding supper, another couple celebrating their 3rd anniversary and a family of 3 plus a 9 month old cutie who weren’t celebrating anything. So we all had a party and included the chef (who was one of the best Teppan-Yaki chefs I have ever seen). We had a blast! Then we went to the local casino and I won $260. All in all a great day.

Today it’s back to the grind – work and school. As if I didn’t enjoy both…..

@DAVID> Happy birthday. I began reading “The Crusaders” last year and put it aside half way through because the Crusaders had only reached Aleppo and it was dry. But last week I started reading it again and found it a page turner. I will be mailing the book to Jan.
