That’s nothing, tell your kids about the time when TV’s didn’t have Remotes! and you actually had to get up and walk to the TV and turn the knob to change channels! and watch their jaws drop in disbelief!!

We actually still have a Drive-In Theater, a 4 screen complex just outside of town.

I didn’t go to an indoor movie theatre until I was eight years old. Until then I thought there were only drive-ins.

@sixcuesTurn the knob to change channels? Wow, you had a modern TV. Ours only had one channel.

It was just like going to a regular movie: In our messy car, the floorboards were sticky.

There are only 350 left, many of them doomed by the expense of converting to digital.

Now they watch DVDs in the back seat while mom and dad drive across town.Kind of a clever song on the topic of “The Good Old Days:”When I was Your Age.

@BRO6164—-AshburnStadium did state “it may be the SECOND one ever built”. He might mean that it is now the oldest still in operation?

Remember Cheech & Chong sneaking buddies into the drive-in in their trunk? The guys in the trunk didn’t survive. We used to do that when it wasn’t $5 a carload. Got caught a couple of times.

Don’t know if I can put this on here, but there is a web site called projectdrivein.com where you can vote for saving your favorite drive in theater.
