Good morning, Vagabonds. A friend of mine who much more overweight than I am told me on Facebook that he lost 30 pounds eating yogurt for breakfast. I never liked the taste of yogurt, including the ones with fruit in them, but today I bought a yogurt with a vanilla flavor and LIKED it. Maybe I’ll have yogurt for breakfast and continue with my oatmeal for lunch.

Morning, Vagabonds. Well, we went to Houston yesterday and picked up our Deutschefreunden. The older one was our exchange student back in 1999. She’s now grown up, graduated from Med School, gotten married and has a 3 month old baby. The baby is so cute. And she brought her younger sister with her who was our houseguest when she was 12, now all grown up. We intend to take them on vacation during the next couple weeks.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

We had an interesting topic at bible study yesterday. “What is it that we don’t do that we are certain God wants us to do?” No, I do not expect true confession time here, but it certainly gave us a lot of food for thought, especially when we start thinking about the justifications we give ourselves for not doing it.

The overnight temps were in the seventies and I was able to open up the house all night long. The humidity is back down in the 30% range and dropping. It’s nice after such a long, hot summer (100+ degree temps started in May!).

I’m going on a retreat tomorrow for the weekend at a guest ranch north of Yellowstone. I’ll use your topic for meditation, Jan. Thanks. There will be over 70 women cancer survivors, and the guest speaker is a chaplin from Washington. There will also be fantastic food, fun stuff, and entertainment on Sat. night. Should be exhausting!

Happy Talk like a pirate day, everyone
