I just walked past their house on my way to the Tiki….. he’s still out there….Patty professes indignation …. but I know she’s actually pretty flexible.

I think when no one’s looking, they hang out together…

Hi Fenton…..Oh… thanks…. yeah, tomatoes again…. well…. we just like them, that’s all…. I know, I know…. but humans like to eat more than just meat.

Even you like some things that aren’t meat, don’t you?Pie? Cheese? Milk Bones?

I saw you eating that apple yesterday…. and having a beer.

Well WE like tomatoes. Most of us, anyway.

And I don’t ask YOU why you like those Alpo sandwiches, do I?

Another loss was one of the last munchkins from Disney’s Wizard of OZ (and I was just sharing illustrations from the books on the Frog Blog yesterday).

(CNN) – One of the last surviving munchkins from the original production of The Wizard of Oz has died.

Margaret Pelligrini played the flowerpot munchkin and one of the sleepy head kids in the classic 1939 movie.

People placed flowers on the munchkin’s star of the Hollywood Walk of Fame Wednesday.

Pelligrini’s death leaves just two surviving munchkins, including Lollipop Kid Jerry Maren, who is 93-years old and 95-year old Ruth Duccini.

    Pelligrini was 89-years-old.

I did a bungee cord type ride on a helicopter one time. I roped down like a real ninja but when I hit bottom my feet got tangled in the loose rope. As I began to get it free the helicopter went back up jerking me off the ground and I was bouncing hanging on the rappelling rope. FINALLY the idiot who was suppose to make sure we were clear looked over the side and saw me in my bouncing condition. I was returned to the ground none the worse for wear. I resisted pulling the helicopter down so I could talk with the observer about paying attention next time.

Here’s what Patty may be suggesting:

    Bungeeless Jumping

First, get rid of all the bungee cords. Then, encourage spouse to become adventurous and locate a black, bottomless pit….

Finally, go cash in the insurance policy.

    @Veteran

Yes, I’m inclined to forget that Disney did not go back that far. I was a very avid reader of fairytales and such. I’ve read at least 6 of the OZ books and both Alice books and by 4th grade had read all of O’Henry and Poe (got to all the Grimm type stuff much before). Then went on to Huxley and all the SciFi writers.

I’d never sky dive or bungee, but I still hope to do that very long ZIP line in the eagle site (somewhere near Berkley?)

Ballard Street at its finest, I must say. This is the other side of classic. This is Jim Morrison’s vision; where fact and fantasy collide, this is the other side. And what a beautiful vision it is. Shirley and Allen together at last, at long last. A simple child, holding high the name sake for all of us; too much is never enough. Polka dots and pearls leading the way and the world on a yoyo string. This is what happens when, nothing strikes back. This is life tossed to the winds. This is carefree without carelessness. This is game on with no out of bounds. If it hadn’t been for tuna fish sandwiches this could have gone on forever.

Great bunch of links – thanks, guys! I’ve subscribed now to harp sis. and I was thinking, Ling – 1939? I must have seen it at least once later than that (as I’d not remember so clearly from 2 YO- it may have taken years to arrive at our suburban theater).Bev- she IS hilarious! Great how many funny routines there are now on YouTube! I’ll check more of them later as I have with related comedic songs on someone else’s links a while back.

I was watching Top Chef Masters today and LOVED the whole medley that Franklin Becker did. I’d like to duplicate it for that special someone if I get a chance.
