When the youngsters adopt the image as their reality, hoodies included, they succeed in intimidating others. This sort of swaggering insult always generates fear and hostility from their victims. If you look and walk like a thug, you’ll be treated as a thug.
Rampant prejudice?We all pre-judge our surroundings based on previous experience. (At least, the intelligent among us do.) If you look like a criminal, act like a criminal and sound like a criminal, do not be surprised if you are treated like a criminal.
