That’ll work.Sally Forth – I would appreciate a day-to-day explanation for this strip until I get caught up. The joke about the peas is good, but who are these people? Are they related? How old is the old man’s wife, and is she related to the other guy?Mark Trail – Shouldn’t the carcasses be hanging head downwards? Phantom – Walker is wrong about that. Many a good man lost his life in no-man’s land. Good men on both sides.Mandrake – Who … Why …Crankshaft – I never could win at those games.
@DAVID Re SALLY FORTH: As Jan said yesterday: The young blonde woman is Sally’s scatterbrained sister (may be in her 30s, while Sally turned 40); she’s married to the older bald-headed man, who used to be Sally’s boss and, later, co-supervisor. Ted,(the one who’s eating the peas) is sally’s husband who relates in terms of super-heroes.

MW- Mary is trying sooo hard to instill a positive attidudein her, which she needs to move forward with her life, as MWdoes with most of her “clients” and/or, people she encounters
JP- There after April for sure, same as that girl that tried towaste her a while back
David, to expand a bit on Arye’s answer, Ralph is the bald-headed guy and the scatter-brained blonde is Jackie. This is her first pregnancy and she (having been completely scatterbrained in the past) is afraid she will mess up the life of this child. Ralph and Jackie live with Jackie & Sally’s mother and her live-in boyfriend Gerald. Mom is a bit of a lush and is almost always drawn with a wine glass in her hand. She and Sally do not get along. I don’t think Gerald works, Ralph has a part-time job as a teacher (One of his students is a slacker that used to work for him as an unpaid intern at Sally’s office.) and Jackie doesn’t work. I think Mom (don’t remember her name) is retired and supporting the whole group on her pension.We will try to keep you posted on who is who and their relationships as the stories progress. Having only been reading this strip for a few years, there are some gaps in my own knowledge as well. Good luck.
Teh: I started following classic Rip Kirby a couple of weeks ago when you recommended it (along with Juliet Jones and JP). I went back and caught up with the current stories, but didn’t go back any further than that. And yes, I am enjoying all three of them, too.
