Red is Rover’s hero. Hopefully Rover will not need to save the day (and his master)

Those who saw the comic’s early years know that Rover is Red’s guardian angel dog.

That’s especially true for Guardian Angel Dogs, like good ole Rover!

@ Brian BassetI just heard that the cartoonist who draws the strip that captured my heart on its first appearance, is getting married. I had to come wish the best of all possible worlds both in your personal and professional life. Mazel Tov!!

I hope Brian goes back over the past few days to see all the well wishes from all of us. I’m sure he is on his Honeymoon now, though. WINKY WINKY! :-)

I had to have my Golden Retriever Clayton put to sleep today. Every day at 2:30 he’d get a “peanut butter cookie”,( a Milk Bone dipped in a little peanut butter.) He knew exactly when it was 2:30. I will miss his sweet face and big brown eyes, and his dopey retriever smile. RIP my good boy.Mary,You will meet again at the rainbow bridge and he will accompany you over that rainbow bridge into a heaven that you will both be overjoyed with. You will have him or her and her or his hearts. And all other pets that you ever exchanged love and joy with, will be there to share their love with you. You will appreciate their presence and your shared experiences and overflow with the love that you all exchanged. Until then, relax in the knowledge that it is a pure love that you have and will be enjoying. Remember they bring only love and ask only love in return, and that God gave them the ability to love you as well as he did you to love them. God Bless You.
