For once we are in total agreement! If some of the kind of comments that we see on this site (by extremists on both sides of the political spectrum) do not seem too get the government involved in those making such comments, then I do not see any so called freedoms being taken away by the government. Especially, the freedom of speech as seen in these posts!!!

The fact that Snowden could download large amounts of sensitive files right under the noses of those who were supposed to be paying attention makes me wonder whether this data-mining project has any chance of working.

At one time in aerospace, I held a secret clearance, if I had passed such information to anyone else (which as a patriotic American I would never have done under any circumstance), I would indeed have been open to being tried for treason. So, to me at least if the information this fellow Snowden had passed was indeed classified, then he is a traitor. Is that hard to understand?

Besides which, the general issue here is really kind of moot at best as private commercial interests have already had all of the information about individual Americans that the government has. And probably more, as the government generally does not care just what pure private commercial products the average American buys, but commercial interests sure as heck do! So, if people are so very worried about what the government knows about them, then perhaps they should throw away their computers, and go and live in a bunker somewhere!! Good Grief, with all the truly important things this country has to deal with, this is really a non issue. And that is just as much a true conservative opinion as it would be a liberal one!!
