Most board games have you move clockwise. Interesting that this one asks you to move the other way, which results in your moving forward only if you land on “Military Coup”.
Square one is not a bad place from which to start again, IF a better foundation is laid by those commencing the restart. However, considering the lack of civility, compromise, and respect within our own democracy, the new democracies have reason to wonder if we represent an example they should be following.Respectfully,C.
Looking at many of the commentators on this page as an example, Respectful Troll is correct. There is a lack of civility on both sides at times. As to Buckley’s quote, I’ll agree there are Libs who are quite fascist in their views. There are also those on the Right who fall into the same bucket. Or are you telling me that there is no one on the Right who you consider to be unreasonable and ill mannered?
It’s not that liberals are astonished to hear that there are other views. But we are a bit astonished that there are so many who are willing to completely disregard all facts and all past experience when choosing which views to believe. It still shocks me when people say, apparently with a straight face, that government can’t create jobs (it can) and that climate change is not caused by human activitiy (it’s been proven beyond doubt to anyone capable of rational thought).
NO! Not anyone like Pinochet, he was a cruel, ruthless dictator that the USA sent over there to takeover, killed the good elected guy and the Chicago boys took a virulent type of capitalism for the benefit of the USA.It impoverished the people and I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemies. They need to try to elect someone else, someone who doesn’t want to run the land as a theocratic dictatorship.

Yeah, I’ve read some of your comments on here Mr. Snare. You’re not one to criticize him on this issue.
