From my own warped, sad, limited point of view—do such considerations merit a concern measured against what the overrwrought , libidinous ears and over ambitious digingus suggest— We are looking at two fallible men fell into when a raging dingus blasted to stupid null good works, thoughts and potential!! Suck stupidiy and spit back sound policy for the good of us all!!!! RAD

You forgot Mark Sanford of North Carolina.
    -
Oops, I forgot: It’s okay if a Republican does it.

I’ll go out on a limb here. Among the Nazi propaganda were , I think, movie reels showing rats coming out of a sewer and comparing them to Jews. If Weiner and Spitzer are both Jewish then Nate may be interpreting the ’toon as bringing that back up.

Nope. Just as bad. Lest we forget William Jefferson Clinton, Barney Frank, Gary Studds, Mel Reynolds.

Just loathsome all around, but to think that a married man sending photographs of his genitalia to numerous and some underage women running for mayor is acceptable is ludicrous.

Let alone a married man paying a hooker for sex, when he made his bones (pun intentional) prosecuting others for prostitution.

Just saying. The reason being married is mentioned is because this is a basic foundation of our society. A basic promise to another human being. And they both broke it. So what do they do to a citizen?

Mark Sandford? The Dems mocked Republicans and those is SC for electing him earlier this year. Yet they think that it is acceptable for these two twits to be running for office in the same city at the same time?

Sadly, ConserveGov, these are the best Dems money could find in the largest city of the US.
Both parties are being advanced through monied interests and media support.
    Be well sir.
    Sincerely,
    C.

Sanford is not from NY, brainy. Stay with the toon for once.

You ignore his point. It’s not about location. It’s about hypocrisy. All three fell from grace because of sex scandals. Weiner tweeted a picture of him in his underpants to another adult. Sanford left the hemisphere to spend time with his mistress and later had a restraining order placed against him after breaking into his now ex-wife’s house. Sanford was voted back into office by the so called family values party. The cartoon is complaining that these two are also making a political comeback. Why was Ariail silent on Sanford’s comeback and not these two?

Please don’t accuse Spitzer of hypocrisy. He patronised and protected the $4,000 an hour domestic ladies of negotiable virtue by doing everything in his power to stamp out their low-cost competitors, especially their foreign competitors.

He prosecuted the firms that sold sex tourism and their customers, not the young ladies in question. He expected losers who can’t afford $4,000 to take matters into their own hands, and not exploit women who are desperate enough to ‘service’ losers for $100 (or less—some foreign women will take $1.50, or so I’ve heard).

He is just as good a supporter of his friends as the people who used their second job to shut down Lehman Brothers, thereby eliminating a competitor of their day employer, Goldman.

I’ve never commented here before and I’ll probably regret it, but some of you make the most uninformed and ignorant- or is it stupid?- comments on my cartoons. I have drawn literally scores of cartoons on every aspect of Mark Sanford’s fall from grace and return to office(naturally, because I live and work in SC.) Sure, there is a Sanford connection to Spitzer and Weiner and I have a toon coming up on that. But this one is on the New Yorkers and what despicable rats they are. And that both are Jews (though I doubt they are active in their faith) has no bearing on the point being made here. Nate9279’s accusations are spurious and complete BS considering the context.

Well, never really having understood just what it is about a politician’s sex life that affects his/her ability to hold office, and do a governmental job, I wondered what all the fuss and furor over these two was all about.

But then again, when the claque of “religious/moral/superior”, (self)-righteous, holy-phony-balonies start to get their collective panties all knotted up over OTHER PEOPLE’S faults and failings – always having NONE themselves, of course (!) – the rest of the world just MUST stand still, and the mountains just MUST tremble.

Just another waste of time, effort, and energy – like running to the barn on Sunday morning to hear the Jackass-in-the-pulpit bray.

Those who say the left are “silent” about Spitzer and Weiner have not listened to the left. They are not being the least bit silent. You’re just assuming they’re behaving the same as the flacks on the right, and that’s never true. I don’t hear anything from the right about the far worse sins of Governor Ultrasound McDonnell and Ken Cuccinelli of Virginia, who sold their offices for cash… Mark Sanford, returned to congress… David Vitter (who, unlike Wiener, is still in congress even though his prostitution scandal was an actual crime…)

Rats are pretty intelligent animals actually. Trouble is they are associated with filth, sewers and shady actions. Which pretty well covers the actions and life style of most politicians
