‘“Fracking” has been around for quite a while, and caused a lot of damage in several western states, contaminated range, poisoned streams, and other damage. The fluids are not safe, but “proprietary”, so the law allows them to hide what they put in those fluids. Going back some time, look up numerous articles in “High Country News” and other sources. Our pursuit of “energy” for "lifestyle’, as opposed to actual need has long been profitable for corporations, and disastrous for many areas of the environment. From dams to fracking, “energy” has long sucked the life force from the planet, above, and below ground, and in our oceans.

Then don’t use natural gas, petroleum or coal.Take the family on vacation on a bicycle, heat your home by rubbing your hands together and type your comments on a wind powered computer. Then maybe you could start telling others how to live.

It never ceases to amaze me that even intelligent people that can see and understand most of the complex issue’s confronting society today can’t see the writing on the wall when it comes to energy.

Renewable energy folks! Get over it. We’re going to have to make the switch. Why the resistance to doing it, just because it’s not as cheap as fossil derived fuels at the moment. Waiting until the last drop of oil, or piece of coal is gone isn’t the best way of doing the job properly.

I’m not sure what TV show it was, but it was late last night. This guy wanted to sell his home. He was talking to a reporter, and he turned on the garden hose and lit it. Flames were coming out about a foot to 18 inches. He says “Who would want to buy this house?”

Baby steps are better than no steps.

Nuclear probably is our best option, just not the kind we’ve been using. Check out the newer Thorium reactors. Not only are they pretty much meltdown-worry free, but they don’t create the radioactive waste and can actually help get rid of some of our current stockpile of radioactive waste.

Fracking is highly regulated- its dead easy to find out the fracking fluids- ask the EPA.
