I voted for Obama in 2008, I voted against Romney in 2012. I am very disappointed with this administration. At this point, even if Mr. Obama was unaware and against these actions, he looks negligent or incompetent. If he was aware of the IRS probes, the broad search of journalists’ resources, and the other stories that are surfacing every few days, then he looks corrupt. The fact that the Republicans have been major obstructionists since 2008 is insult to injury. The fact that the Democrats have been, for lack of a better word, stupid in the way they dealt with their republican colleagues is stupefying. Our gov’t is more broken than it has been since the civil war. Our leaders have forgotten that true leadership comes from setting examples, not giving orders. They are uncivil, greedy, egocentric, and legends in their own minds. When we fail to be civil to one another, when we allow extremists to divide us and turn us against one another, then democracy loses, and we take another step toward something worse.Respectfully,C.

    A) He’s not doubled spending. The deficit has decreased every year Obama’s been in office.

    B) Obama did not get the tax hikes he wanted – he got about a third of them.

    C) Obama had already done several rounds of cuts without any tax increases before that point.

    D) If you want to go on percentages, Reagan nearly quadrupled the national debt in his two terms, a feat that has yet to be equaled in peace time.
