no, Bachmann is retiring? now that is a scandal. Benghazi! Benghazi! lol. frightening indeed. who’ll rant and rave and scream to the immoral base lunatics, aka Republicans. meanwhile oh i forget, Goihmert, King of Iowa, the list is endless.

but without Bachmann, what will the Press do. all the mindlessness, the idiocy, the stupidity, the hatred, the hypocrisy, otherwise known as the Republican way! i suppose the Press will find something unworthy to focus on, as always

Healthcare is needed for all. Every other modern industrialized country in the world has universal health care. For example, I have known several French people for years who all seem thrilled to only have to pay $50 for a house call. The French are not lying around on filthy cots waiting for aspirin to be invented either.

I only mentioned healthcare because someone mentioned “death-care” above, therefore, it would appear that some wish to rehash that debate…

And you think Bush did not use drone strikes? And you think Bush used good judgment in taking us to war in Iraq? Wow, you must be very flexible with the stretches you have to make with the GOP! Drone strikes existed before Obama and will exist after he leaves office. Turn off Fixed News and get some real info.

Look at the Wall Street Journal reporting of the scandal, it is straight out enemies list that makes Nixon look tame.

Ha what a bizarre comment— I had to stop when I saw the phrase “conservative scientist” — there is no room for liberal or conservative in science! Science is science! The prez has taken responsibility for investigating Benghazi numerous times. It is the GOP who cut the budget for security for our diplomats overseas. It is the GOP who has repeatedly called for budget cuts for all of the ones you mention. No liberal has ever advocated taking money from women’s health care to support abortion although we support reproductive rights. It is the GOP who want cuts for vets. Again, turn off Fixed News and get some real info.

GuardSFT says, “But if you have given up looking for work, you are counted as being employed. Only in Barry’s world!”

Again, as so often, you are factually inaccurate. Those who have given up looking for work are NOT counted as employed. They are classified as “discouraged workers”. This did not start during Obama’s term. If you were to look at the Labor Dept’s website, you could learn the facts about how people are counted – but facts just aren’t something you are interested in, I know. You prefer to parrot your talking points.

I have said for years that had President Obama been of age in the 1970’s he would have ran as a liberal republican.

Yet I have had people ion both sides of the aisle blow past it. Why? Because it is to hard to admit that the man is only a democrat because. Much like myself. there is no place any longer for liberal republicans.

The religious right and former President Reagan(d) saw to that by the 1980’s.

though if solid proof is what you want. look at everything he has ever offered to the republican/tea party. their cherished ideas. only to watch the spectacle of the same party now turning against it very own ideas.

Yeah, why are people making such a FUSS about the first significant breach of a US embassy building in oh, since Tehran in 1979 or so . . . Sure, we USUALLY guard our people, but that apparently doesn’t mean we HAVE to.

GuardSGT says (of me): “You run and hide from the truth.”No, not I. You are the one who posted a link to Tait’s nonsense, claiming that it was dispositive of the issue of President Obama’s citizenship. I pointed out that it was an amicus brief, which is NOT dispositive, and which anyone can file; I posted the facts about the Superior Court decision and the Supreme Court decision in the cases for which the amicus brief was filed. And you never even tried to reply. I think it’s because you are aware that the facts simply are not on your side. None of the arguments that you offer to support the idea that President Obama is not a natural-born citizen have any facts as their basis – just worn-out talking points and email forwards.

You (like many others) swore to defend the Constitution, but now you are trying to protect it from a threat that is not really a threat.-You have read more into Minor v Happersett than it actually says. From Minor: “…it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners.”-The court left out an important word there: “Only,” as in “Only these were natives, or natural-born citizens…” which is how some apparently imagine it to read.-It is like reading the sentence “Frogs are amphibians, as distinguished from members of all other classes” as meaning “Only frogs are amphibians.” If anything, it is less of a stretch to say the actual wording equates natives and natural-born citizens.-The ruling in Tisdale v Obama in Federal district court said “It is well settled that those born in the United States are considered natural born citizens,” and not one peep was heard from Thomas, Scalia, Kennedy, Alito, or Roberts. Surely they would have spoken up if a constitutionally ineligible candidate was running. They were similarly silent on a number of state court rulings to the same effect. So, were they negligent, treasonous, too frightened by agents of a left-wing conspiracy, or secretly part of the conspiracy? Or did they just not think the arguments that Obama wasn’t eligible could hold any water?-If you want to talk about policy or character, fine, I might read and seriously consider what you write. However, no matter how vigorously you want to defend the Constitution, you’re still shooting at foo fighters.-End of discussion.
