Many years ago, Pat Paulsen ran several joke presidential campaigns. He toured college campuses, and he came to mine. In the question period after his campaign speech (solution to poverty? Shoot 1000 beggars a week), he made funny comments as answers..One kid asked what Pat’s position was on foreign affairs. Pat hesitated, grinned, then said, “That one’s too easy.” I can think of many comments on this cartoon, but they’re all too easy – and dirty. .And this caveman-walking-upright scenario was the theme of many PLAYBOY cartoons, as one can imagine. I’m sure Mr. Thaves had to restrain himself from writing other captions!
