Good morning, Vagabonds. @Slim, I followed you by just one minute.
Sunday, I not only viewed the Bukharian festival for 3 hours and spent over an hour each way by subway, but late Sunday night I went by subway to pick up 5 VHS tapes that a friend recorded “The Game of Thrones” for me, as I don’t have cable. So yesterday I was completely exhausted and rested.
I must get my apartment in order soon as a friend of a friend from Azerbaijan will be visiting me for a few weeks. we’ve already gotten to know each other via Facebook.
Good morning Vagabonds.Another hot day,95 and humid. Had a T storm last night from about 8:30 to 9:30 with more noise than action and then it let loose for a short while. They are predicting T storms everyday through Fri. then back to the 70s.
Morning, Vagabonds.Celebrated retirement yesterday by going to the driving range. First time I’ve handled a club for a year and a half. Decided to play the first hole and took a double bogie. Figured that’s not too bad for a start and I’ve done lots worse on that hole.
Howdy, folks..Sound like triple H all week with late day T-storms. Gon’a be noisy around here..Our pastor has gotten into golf. Don’t know how well he dose, cause I don’t golf..Have fun guys..ttfn
Got up to 78 yesterday, and down to 53 this a.m. By the week end, summer will be here. I understand there is some record breaking heat headed to the South West……are you ready Jan and Slim? Stay indoors!
Woodworker, if you will look at the post you made just before mine, you will see that you misspelled “chore” as “choir”. That’s what I meant when I said I was sorry and that I just couldn’t resist (the silly joke).
Yesterday wasn’t too bad. We didn’t close up until around 11AM and the temp only got up to about 95. The humidity is still higher than we are used to, but it’s not all that bad. (31% right now – normal 0%-8%) When the heat waves hit, the nighttime temps don’t come down enough to open up, so I’m enjoying what I can get.
David, I learned to play golf in PE class in high school. Haven’t played since (except the miniature variety). I wonder if I would still enjoy it…..
Jan, In re. to your joke about the choir. that was sweetbill, not me that said that. That’s why I queried you about it as I couldn’t find it. I didn’t think my mind was that far gone. It was funny though.
Rita, the weather forecast on the local news said the temp would be at 116 on Friday & Saturday. Local all-time record is 117, and the only two times we have had 116 before were both in July, not June. Not looking forward to it.
