It would be interesting to read the notes of Nietzsche’s psychiatrist, if he had had one, and I’m sure many have tried to psychoanalyze him through his writings. Two interesting things he might have repeated to his shrink:.“Whoever despises himself nevertheless respects himself as one who despises.”.“The thought of suicide is often a great source of comfort. By means of it one gets through many a dreadful night.”.That Nietzsche — what a barrel of laughs.
