Good morning, Vagabonds. Yesterday, I had not seen my cat all day. Even her food bowl was untouched. I searched the entire apartment and couldn’t find her. I feared the worst: that she had fallen off my balcony (11 floors high). We searched the closets – nothing. Finally, after a few hours, I opened one of the closet doors again and reached in and found her napping. What a relief!

Morning, Vagabonds.Had that happen to me one time. Our cat went missing for three days. Finally, I remembered that three days previously, I had gone into the storage shed to get a tool of some kind. So I went to the back yard and opened the storage shed. She came running out of there like her tail was on fire!Eleven days.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

Had a really heavy thunderstorm yesterday afternoon. We were at the car dealer waiting for our car (after 10 years, there was a “recall” for some starter part), and this storm swept through. Huge, loud thunder, quarter sized hail, and flooding rains. We didn’t want to drive home when the car was done. By the time we got about 10 miles up the road, there was clear skies. Our house…..? We got 0.02/inch! a bare sprinkle!

Woodworker…….had both of my knees replaced……one in 2005 and the other in 2008. Best thing I’ve ever done! Good luck on your check up. I agree with you……doc will be happy.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Arye, cats are really good at finding places to hide. Pinto has found a place in this house that I haven’t figured out yet. He just disappears for hours at a time and then comes sauntering down the hall when he’s hungry. I sometimes suspect that they can put themselves into an alternate dimension……

@Montana Lady: Thanks for your comments. I made a mistake when I said it was my six month check up. It implied that I had my knee done six months ago when I really had it done 11 months ago. Six months ago was the last time I saw him. I agree with you on it being one of the best things I had done. I should have had it done several years before but never got to it. Then push came to shove and I had no choice. It’s so nice to walk without pain in it. My left knee still bothers me somewhat but I won’t have that done until it really bothers me and he agrees with me. I think that working out in the gym has helped it a lot. The doctor was very pleased and told me to come back in a year so they can check on the implant to see how it is holding up. They follow the patient for two years to make sure that every thing is going good.
