It would be comforting if our government could catch these people and prosecute them accordingly. It doesn’t bring back the dead but it might ease the suffering of the survivors who have been so violently scarred for life.
The emotion is 9/11 revisited, such a horrific, senseless loss of life, a feeling of utter fear and helplessness. Home grown or foreign, this was no amateur effort. It’s a time when we must avoid the contentious finger pointing or partisan rhetoric. It is not a political issue and I’m confident that the various LE agencies did everything in their power to provide security. I cannot even imagine the job of trying to secure such an event. Nothing is 100%, but we must do our part to maintain the survivors and not give vent to the divisiveness that the terrorists are trying to create.
“Does anyone suppose that this could be the deed of the US gun lobby… or a representative, anyway?”
Please go outside and go for a walk to clear your head. In the face of such a tragedy you sound like you are delusional. Or just totally insensitive, whichever fits.
Perhaps my favorite comment thus far: on a picture of the marathon runners: “You just p*ssed off a lot of people who run faster than you and never give up. Real smaht.”
I believe the perp ( or perps ) will be caught. Every report I’ve heard is calling the devices, ‘crude.’… And they were planted in a area with only about a million cameras focused on it.
They will not get away with this. I have to believe that.As to who did it, there’s something everyone, left and right needs to ask themselves.
“Is the party you believe to be responsible for this cowardly attack also the party you WANT to be behind it?”

When caught give them a C-4 suppository. This one, as the “experts” in bombings are speculating so far, is “home grown”.
