ok everyone…Toni was wearing the same clothes as she was when she and Brad arrived…and knowing how they are both firefighters cut her some slack, she probably just grabbed whatever was clean to wear there…her dress for her wedding will be white though. The ring is on the wrong hand again, and I am wondering when Luann will find out and if she will be a part of the wedding as well….???

“with the prominent positioning of the hands, panel 1 is Greg saying to us all “see, I CAN draw the rings on the left hand!””

No, I don’t think so. This strip was drawn and submitted two months ago. Greg was not aware of Sunday’s mistake until Sunday.

No, if I were to guess, I would say that he was primarily going for the dramatic effect of both women having rings on their hands. With both ladies reaching at the same time with the same hand, and each one has a ring on the ring finger, it symbolically ties them together. Toni is now just one step away from joining Nancy in the sisterhood of married women. We should start considering as such.

I am hoping the engagement will go on for at least 2-3 years before they actually get married. There are too many pre-marriage comedic story lines, too many pre-marriage dramatic story lines, and too many other character’s reactions to have this be a wedding that occurs anytime before 2016…. at least I hope so.

MY question is why did Frank and Brad switch places between the first and second panels?

It likely has to be for the order of talk bubbles in the first and third panels. But it requires some awkward shuffling and repositioning all the same.

Several people said they would have to quit reading due to the time uploading. After which, MikeyJ (and Brdshtt, sometimes), courteously minimized their drawings.*Sneaking a peak, it looks like it was after mid-Dec. This week is letting mom and dad know, next week will be dedicated to Luann.”.How is Shannon going to take the notion of her world being turned upside down? Will she just be excited at first? How long before life changes begins to sink in? Since she has a child’s imagination I’m looking forward to the thought bubbles. .You’ve noted characters have been given a week to take part in the celebrations. Speaking only for myself, I’d wince if this were so. I can respect people’s liking the reboot, but the JJ Abrams versions seem too “Hollywood-like” for me…. TOS, TNG, Voyager, Enterprise, even DS9 had a “Paramount” type feel, but the reboot to me, again, it just seems odd… certain scenes and plots in the 1st reboot just didn’t click for me… but I guess if they did it, it sure beats the umpteenth season of “American Singing and Voting But the Network Chooses For You While Quirky Judges Bicker For Failed Ratings”…..

I don’t remember if it was Filmation or not…. I remember that they even had a few copies at Walmart for 15 bucks, and sadly, I decided that I could wait a week to pick it up….what was I thinking? Now on Amazon, it’s priced at a zillion dollars by some eager sellers…..

HI SueBThat sounds what happened plenty of times in my life. Plenty of time in many situations never told me anything and I sure looked stupid too. One case: During the summer of 1979 I was a counselor at a sleep away camp for the disabled. During the first week of August it was arranged through the local Lions lodge to have Christmas in August and have Santa Claus fly in on a helicopter and wasn’t supposed to tell the campers nothing about it as it was a big surprise for the campers. Noone ever told to keep it quiet so it would be a surprised to the campers. So during the morning when we were getting the campers ready for breakfast I asked someone what time Santa in the helicopter was coming so I could be ready with my camera. The Other counselors to shut up it was supposed to be a big surprise. I than said NOONE TOLD ME TO KEEP IT A SECRET.I felt like I was an inch tall at that second. GEEZ.Another time when my mom said a neighbor found out she was pregnant and I didn’t know she didn’t tell her husband because she wanted to surprise him. OK I saw both of them later on in the day and gave her the baby crib toy to her and her husband. again I had to say NOONE EVER TOLD ME NOT say anything in front of him because she wanted to tell him herself. Again no one told me to keep that a secret until she told him. Again I felt like an idiot. OK that’s enough from me. Sorry for the loooong message but I wanted to get my point across, Thanks much and enjoy the weekend.

I apologize… I didn’t realize the impression I was giving… I just react when I hear the word trekkie, cuz I’ve been in the middle of that word being tossed around before… and as far as “Enterprise” for that female Vulcan, I know for a certainty that it sure didn’t hurt their ratings for as long as the show was on….

I think she’d take a look and nobody would have to tell her… of course, I wonder if in some way, Toni may have let her in on what she planned on doing…. hmmm…

This arc has been moving right quick (though without Luann being involved), and I sorta expect that to continue for a while. Then things will shift to a somewhat slower pace for a bit, before another spike in the pace. (Luann’s first prom?)

Well, these comments have been fun to read. Here’s my two cents on Star Trek: Not a trekkie, but I’m a fan and I’ve enjoyed all the series (although Enterprise had some major shortcomings and disappointments). The 2009 movie reboot was also enjoyable. Altering the timeline was a brilliant idea; in future movies, the plots can go where no one has gone before (sorry, couldn’t resist) and fan(atic)s won’t be able to nitpick over events that don’t jibe with the original series. As for the animated series: a combination of good artwork and dreadful animation, so-so acting (the actors never got together in a studio to record thier lines, they read them individually into tape recorders and then the tapes were spliced together) and some good writing.

Oh, yes . . . I happen to like prune juice.
