That’s so true….and besides, who wants to peak in High School? Go to any 10 year reunion and you’ll see that the most popular couple now looks old and tired and has fizzled. The geeky kids are the ones making big bucks, traveling the world and, in general, living the dream. Been there, seen that. (And I’m past the 40th reunion).
I’m so glad the nerd cliche is kind of dead now. Jocks can be smart and “nerdy” as “nerds” nowadays. Girls can like anime and video girls and can be intelligent as any other guy. “Nerds” can be good at sports just as jocks. Luann isn’t just willing to accept that Gunther’s a good guy, he just needs to get his head out of his butt sometimes.
A coworker once told me that he and his brothers used to beat up his sister’s boyfriend when ever he came over because he was a “nerd”. The girl had to elope so she could marry him. Now the “nerd” is an engineer and makes more money than anyone else in the family. Karma! Lol!
