Good morning, Vagabonds. As I said yesterday, it’s frustrating to try to copy a VHS tape (such as Stravinsky’s ballet, Rite of Spring) to DVD only to find that there is a copy block. What I did was to dub until the “unable to copy” sign came up and then set the remote again on dub. As I got further into the performance the “unable to copy” notice came up less often until it didn’t come up at all. I knew I couldn’t find this video anywhere available commercially, so I’m glad I wasable to copy it. Although I have it on my original VHS tape, my DVDs take up less storage space.
Morning, Village.I’ve almost finished with cutting the baseboards. But there’s one room that’s going to be a problem. It’s a bedroom built in the place that used to be a garage. The floor slopes downward. I really don’t know how I’m going to fit these baseboards with the weird angle
@David, the sloping floor can also be a nuisance when mopping. My bathroom floor slopes downward to a corner and I find it annoying that water ends up there.

@davidf42- I would suggest a new level sub floor- had to do that in my old cottage up in upstate ny in the liv-rm- still good to this day- then I put hardwood panels over the plywood,those do it yourself- locking floor kits
Good afternoon to all. Nice day today, sunny with temp at 60. Tomorrow it goes back downhill into the 40s with rain until the weekend.@davidf42: I have to agree with SWEETBILL. It might be easier and quicker to level the floor than to fit the baseboards at an odd angle, depending on how much it is out of level. I know having been a carpenter at one time.

Beautiful sun, and 14 degrees! Ugh! It got all the way up to 27 yesterday. A few more days of this, we are told.
So, david, isn’t there a way to rebuild the floor? Or is that one of those things you don’t touch? (I’m good at making more work for people)
I’m making a big pot of vegetable beef and barley soup today……..y’all come by, ya hear?
