Huh? Pull the cover off there, Doc, I don’t even think there’s anyone under that sheet in the first place.
Oh, and BTW, there were plenty of Republican Senators that went along with the “stimulus” pork barrel assault on the economy. Guess they don’t get any credit for “bipartisanship” if they don’t keep bowing down at every turn, huh?
Toles is just figuring out NOW that bipartisanship has been non-existant during the Obama Administration???
What took him so long?
Anything related to the economy; anything related to healthcare. The Republican Party has been MIA in any attempt to help with the legislation. All they have been interested in is making anything Obama does his next “Waterloo”.
They’ve had their chance. From now on, it should be ALL Reconciliation for any future Obama Legislation.
“Oh, and BTW, there were plenty of Republican Senators that went along with the “stimulus” pork barrel assault on the economy. Guess they don’t get any credit for “bipartisanship” if they don’t keep bowing down at every turn, huh?”
There’s a difference between “bowing at every turn” and not contributing at all. Democrats have watered down bills to disgusting ineffectiveness to win Republican votes only for them to say “No.” Even with things like the discriminating Stupak amendment, they still said no. That’s not bipartisanship, that’s “make Obama look bad regardless of whether or not working on legislation and agendas [such as our floundering economy] might help America.”
Bipartisanship was a carrot held out by the GOP when they had absolutely no intention of cooperating in a bipartisan effort. The party of no has no ideas of actually helping government to function for the American people. We can all be slaves of the coorporations and that will suit the GOP just fine.
^Ever heard the phrase money talks? If I owned a multi-billion dollar business and I “contribute” to a senator’s campaign you better believe he’s gonna do my bidding.
If the Senator got “contributions” from we the people (Campaign finance reform) you’d see progress, not regress.

There is no reasoning with “No, no, no!”

Perhaps some of them went along with it since it was the Republicans that started the idea, Buck?

The carrot may have been held by the GOP but they pulled it back when it was time to be effective and help our country.
