Morning, Village.Today is Maundy Thursday, as Christian throughout the world prepare for the Easter Celebration. To many others, we are in the Passover season. It is a holy time for millions of people. I pray that this holiness will draw us all closer together. The world is in desperate need for unity.
@DAVID you are right abou that. Here in Israel, I saw Arabs and Jews walking in the streets and taking trains and buses and eating in restaurants side by side.
I have just returned to Zichron Ya’akov with my cousin from Tel Aviv, where I bought CDs and DVDs – some of my CDs featured Persian, Kurdish and Yemenite singers.
In my humble opinion – as long as we conform to a doctrine that is based on condemning anyone who don’t worship our preferred deity … we are condemned to live our life in conflict.
A Blessed Easter and Passover to our Vagabond Village.
I’m not sure if I’ll be able to type after my surgery tomorrow. I should be able to use my fingers right away, but don’t know about the pain level of the two incisions.
David, I hope and pray for peace and unity as well. Happy Easter and Good Passover to all who celebrate.
Rita, you are in my prayers for a speedy recovery. We’ll keep the light on for you.
APOI: We are all of different faiths and feelings at the Village. My hope is that the general atmosphere of friendship and caring for one another spreads outward from here.
@JAN: Thanks for the warning. I have a multi-system player; I was also assured that the DVDs would play on American System – I can also play them on my laptop.
Good afternoon to all Vagabonds.May all of you have a blessed and happy Easter as we await for the Resurrection and hear the words “Alleluia, Alleluia, He is risen.”Rita, you are on my prayer group’s prayer line for successful surgery.
