Heres another poem from the “Heartbreak Hotel” >>>>>>>>>>>>>>.Tall firs on a foggy ridgePeer dimly at a frothy sea.A wave rises, then comes crashing downOn the helpless waiting sand.A soft damp breeze carresses the trees,As I stand below, sad and lonely. The sea and the sandThey meet and they touch,And even in strifeThey merge and are one.My heart is heavy in my chest,My mind is dull and numbThe mist drifts down, but I ignoreThe drops that roll down my cheeks.I stand here alone on a fogbound coast,While my mind wanders far to the south.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I do love the coast of Northern California.Thats where I learned to dive for abaloneand go spear fishing back in the late 50s.
Hi everybody..Another sunny day, warm, which is good for sap gathering..Oh, Slim, when you worked in a sugar place, did you gather with horses or tractor?.That’s a good poem Slim, you have good way with words..Keep having a fine Passover Arye, glad you got e-mail going..I’ll move along now..ttfn
Another good one, Slim. As dkram said, you have a way with words. Very occasionally I manage to do my ‘toon tour right at turnover. I don’t usually say much then except good morning.
It’s so good to hear from everyone. Slim, I can just feel that fog on my cheeks, too. Very nice poem!
I still get a kick out of internet ability. I used to be impressed that I am all the way over here in Montana, and converse daily with people from the east coast and south central, and southwest. Now, we include Israel in our little family! How neat!
Warming trend again. Only got down to 27 during the night, and is 34 right now. near 60’s all week long. :))
