My uncle owned a vending machine company. Some of my collection came out of his machines. Can you believe this rare three legged buffalo was used to buy a bag of "tipsy doodles"? what a waste! Actually "Dipsy Doodles" sound worth it, what are they?

Wonder if he found some other rarities (i.e. 1943 copper penny, 1944 steel penny, 1955 double stamped penny, and 1983 copper penny).

How far back do we have to go that you could get a bag of anything for a nickel?

The particular coin they are discussing is worth a great deal of money – anywhere from $400 to $20,000 depending on condition.

Hah! This brings back a childhood memory. When I was seven or eight, I got into my dad’s collection of silver certificates and took two of them to buy school lunches with. As far as i could tell, they looked like regular dollar bills. By the time my dad discovered my theft the next week, they were long gone. He figured I spent it at the local 7-11, and marched me down there to ask them to check their vault. Nope..Sadly, he’s no longer with us. I could probably afford to replace them now.
