Congress can take a week off every other week, and it’s okay because they’re Republicans. If the president plays golf, he’s a socialist. You know how they are about golf.
Here we go again with the gas price thing. Do political cartoonists think that the president sits at his desk and inputs gas prices into the Internets or something?
“……..Think the main reason for the “blackout” is Barry did not want the public to see him with that dirtbag, Woods………”.I doubt if “Barry” sees himself as being the litigator of professional athlete’s morality.
“………It’s a good question though, why didn’t Barry want photographs of them together?…..”.If the implication is that “Barry” did not want pictures of them together because of Tiger’s philandering, its one of the dumbest questions you can imagine. It was public knowledge they were golfing together. I think the American public is smart enough to draw the conclusion that they were together. If I’m wrong, please correct.
“…….But he’s NOT TOO BUSY to play golf every chance he gets…….”.I doubt Obama plays golf every chance he gets. He plays about half as much as Eisenhower did, and Ike was a pretty effective Republican president..Bush was criticized for his golf only when he brushed off a question about global terrorism with the statement, “Thank you. Now watch this drive.” Appears after the criticism, he thought he’d better give up the game because of the optics.
Bush couldn’t make par in Afghanistan, so he took a Mulligan in Iraq, then started cutting brush in Texas instead of playing golf, to “honor the troops”, right.
Presidents taking time off is NOTHING NEW. I don’t want to get into an argument over who took more time off, or how much it cost. It doesn’t matter. Due to the necessary security, it costs a lot of money for any President or VP to vacation. I don’t care whether it was Reagan chopping wood in Santa Barbara, W taking every August as a “working vacation” in Texas, or Obama playing golf. Ross Perot, during his 1992 campaign, pointed out that Dan Quayle, while he was VP, took his family skiing in Colorado, and the Secret Service had to train agents to ski in circles around them as they were going down the slopes.*Let’s focus on the real problems.
The real problem is conservatives who not only complain about a president who takes about a third as many vacation days as their golden boy, but about intelligence failures that resulted in four deaths when the intelligence failures under their own golden boy killed over 7,000 Americans.

Boehner plays much more golf than Obama does. According to Golf.com, his handicap is under 8.
