Fox News hurts its viewers more than Obama.

the comments prove that Liberal posters do not believe in either “Free Speech” or “equal rights” for any citizens except themselves….and that includes their SuperPartisan Prez.

Without Fox News we wouldn’t have funny video clips for The Daily Show, Hardball, and other shows.

Niether would reasonable liberals cheer such an act against FOX NEWS either. You are making assumptions about others that the more conservative on these boards are always seeming to do. And it would be just as incorrect if it came from the other side.

The only thing that really gets my ire up about FOX is that they seem to be labeling pure commentary as some kind of actual news, and that is just not true. For instance, the Los Angeles Times (generally considered a hated liberal paper by ultra conservatives) at least has the decency to label several pages as “Opinion”. And any reasonable person should not consider the rantings of the likes of such as Rush Limbaugh to be anything but extreme opinion!

Only the most extreme liberals would tolerate a legitimate business to be shut down without due process, much less actually fired upon. The comments applauding the idea of such an attack have been stated with equal glee by conservatives when cartoonists from the right attack liberal media groups in similar ways at other times. I am grateful for the moderate voices under this cartoon who see the bad joke Mr. Varvel is making without expressing a wish to see such tactics as these actually used. This is just another of many cartoons posted today that seem almost designed to put the extremists of both sides at each others’ throats. If you put party over country, you may be part of the problem. Both parties have good ideas, but it is only by sincere respectful conversation that our nation can truly be called United. Respectfully,C.

“Blight on the homeland.” Unlike the narcissistic psychopath in the WH who murders innocent people around the world with remote control airplane.

wmconelly said, 6 minutes agoFox would LOVE this story. All its paranoid fantasies proven at last!….end quote.-“paranoid fantasies” are nothing else but Fox giving the facts on what the government is doing, that the MSM, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, etc., leave out by censoring the news before the broadcasts begin.-and Fox does distinguish between “news” and commentary…every commentary is labelled…Fox gives the audience credit for the brains to know the difference.

Watched some bits on “Faux” again today. Absolutely the worst, most inaccurate “reporting” on the air. I believe in the First Amendment, but most Fox stories SHOULD be required to run a banner across the bottom stating “If you believe any of this B.S., please hire a mental health professional, immediately!”. Their “news” was bad, but their “commentary” and “panels” were hilariously wrong-headed, and stupid.

The definition I found for "ibid’ indicates the word indicates a ditto. What is yours. You say the liberals ‘here’ are unreasonable, Your statement is too general. There are extreme opinions on both sides of the political spectrum. There are also many trying to find a middle ground. Sadly, too many think the ‘middle’ is to the left or right of where the actual center is. Do you hold to the opinion that bipartisanship is when people agree with you? If so, you are an extremist. The middle is in the middle.Thoughtfully,C.

Well, the Prez has repeatedly stated his support of the First Amendment, but this gag doesn’t get it ALL wrong. Faux News is definitely a threat — spreading lies and distorting what little truth they bother with, undermining democracy with their blatant catering to fatcat special interests and creating foolish, transparently false talking points for lazy, incompetent cartoonists to illustrate.

    Um, no offense, Gary.

@respectfultroll….(an oxyoron?)Sadly, too many think the ‘middle’ is to the left or right of where the actual center is. (unquote)-IMO, sadly, the political “middle” has been dragged year by year further TO THE LEFT, so that the “right” is also moved leftward! Compare what the Right Wing positions were in 1950 to what they are in 2013. Ditto the Left’s positions, embracing what would not even have been talked about in 1950, when broadcasting had an ETHIC, and self-policed itself on language, on acceptable topics and acceptable standards, and respected morality in all media.

Okay, THAT drone strike I would support. I just oppose the ones against people who are NOT a sustained, proven threat to democracy.
