The R’s have put forth an idea I can get behind. No budget, no pay. While an article I just heard explains the budget is not a document the President signs, it does layout a framework for how money will be allocated and that is a good thing. I will be notifying my D Senators and R congressman that I would like to them to support this legislation unless someone can explain to me why I shouldn’t.On a sour note…Mr. Reid is playing games with the “first day of a new Congress” in regard to voting on the filibuster rules while a supermajority is not needed. Other than the fact that I, a progressive moderate, consider Harry Reid a poster child for hubris, why is he not putting the vote before the Senate?If he does not do his job, I may have to put aside $100 to donate to a D willing to run against him in Nev.Though if the R’s can come up with more good idea and put aside their own hubris, I can think of some R’s I could get behind if they were in my voting area.Respectfully,C.
