The annual ice hut migration off the lake as slowly started. With all the above freezing temperatures and the little rain we got in the last week there is a lot of slush on top of the ice which makes it hard going except on the well-packed main ‘roads’. Since March 31 is the deadline to remove ice huts I suspect the next two weekends will see a lot of traffic on the ice. Of course with the 31st being on a Thursday a few remaining huts will be removed on the first weekend in April.
Anne: even though I think that you and Cathy have one of the most abnormal, unhealthy, co-dependent mother-daughter relationships I’ve ever seen, have you ever stopped to consider that her occasional evasiveness in times like this is because you pry into her personal life just a little bit too much sometimes ….. even for HER? If she has “nothing” to say, then do her a favor and leave her alone. Whenever she does that, she’s politely trying to tell you (in so many words) to mind your own business and quit grilling her like a cheeseburger over a topic that she doesn’t want to discuss with you so, please, take the hint and act accordingly!
