Hmmm, looking outside I need coat or parka (too cold for a jacket), hat, gloves. For the dogs leashes and cleanup bags. The rest can stay behind – especially the phone. When I am on a walk I do not want to talk over the phone – or text – with anyone. I want to enjoy my walk!
Here we go again. It is lock myself in the auditorium for a week and a bit for our annual variety show. Here I just got caught up on my comic reading and I will be another week behind. Hope everyone in the Clan has a great week!
Only Cathy could turn a simple walk with her dogs into such a huge, com-plicated production! Phone, keys, leashes, clean-up bags, pedometer, a hat, gloves and jacket are understandable this time of year. Even sun-glasses and sunscreen if it’s daytime instead of night. But why does she need a scrunchy, contact stuff, lip balm, money, a water bottle and a dog bowl for what should only take 10 to 15 minutes? No wonder she wouldn’t get off her rear-end on Tuesday then hid in a closet on Wednesday to avoid taking them out. If I had to haul around that huge backpack just to take my dogs on a short walk around the neighborhood, I probably wouldn’t want to do it either! :-P
B/t/w: The iPod and headphones should be left at home. Since it appears she’s going on this dog-walk all alone without Irving, she needs to be 100% aware of her surroundings at all times. While listening to your favorite music is a very pleasant way to pass the time, the distraction could set a lone woman up for trouble she doesn’t want or need. It’s unfortunate but that’s just the world we live in these days. :-(

Personally, I do see a need for the phone (for safety)…but all the other junk…NO.
