They are not necessarily wrong. Many times cheap measuring tools are not properly calibrated…But yeah, a half-cup serving of cooked pasta is tiny.

The tablespoon is too small! A table couldn’t possibly fit in it.

This could be true. That’s why a scale is a far more accurate method of measuring portions.

Can’t we just go with “pretty close”? If we put a couple of spoonfuls of pasta with a lot of veggies and some protein, shouldn’t that be good?
