Not true anymore. I’ve bought large shirts for years but now a ‘large’ is what used to be a ‘medium’. I don’t know why the men’s shirts makers did that. I don’t want to have to buy an XL shirt!

And Cathy grew up thinking that she is the Queen.

Both feel superior because they spend no time making decisions. Irving buys the first thing he sees. Cathy spends hours or days and never makes a decision.

I just wish they’d stop changing sizing. Mumblix, you’re right because it’s the same for women. And I hate “vanity sizing”! Does it really make people feel better if they wear a size 10 when they’re really a size 14? Silly, in my opinion. I’d rather know that I’ve gained or lost weight rather than trying to fool myself into thinking I’m something that I’m not..Hello Cathy friends! Sorry I haven’t been by in a while! It’s been busy and when i sit down to the computer, I’m easily distracted. :-)lindz.coop, sounds like you had a nice vacation! Welcome back!hendelca, you’ve been busy with theater productions! How fun! I hope they’re going well!QuietStorm, how is the beginning of school for your mini-me? I hope better with the new principal and hopefully the summer break helped. Hopefully also she is not in the same class as the mean kids. It always helps to have the support and distraction of friends. Have a great day, everyone!

Irving is sooooooooooooo my husband today! Shirts … pants … it never seems to matter. He rarely ever has to try anything on because if it’s marked in his size, then it pretty much always fits him. Sure wish they’d do that for women! I have to try on every-thing because, depending on the designer and the “cut” of their clothes, I may fit into an extra-small for one thing and an extra-large for something else. Drives me absolutely crazy! :-P

    Hi, rgcviper! :-)

Hello and Happy Thursday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone had a really great day today! :-)

It’s not so much that what used to be a ‘large’ is now a ‘medium’ as it is that I used to be a medium but have somehow become a large. Strangely enough, none of my old shirts have changed sizes, yet I have.

I can really relate to Cathy…men’s clothing pretty much holds the size, but in women’s clothing, I can wear anywhere from a 2 to a 2X.

Women sizes in the USA have become total jokes. To get women to buy more clothing they have continually kept the sizes down even though a size 8 in the 50’s would be a size 0 today. Called Vanity sizing.
