If there’s trouble, there should be chocolate! :-).Hello Cathy friends! I’m baaack!! I’m sorry for not posting sooner, but it’s been a crazy month! The day we moved was nuts with getting everything out of the house and to the airport. But we did it, including all 4 cats. We had a bit of a problem with security because they wanted us to take the cats out of the carrier and walk with them through the scanner, which we refused (realistically, there are very few cats who are calm enough to allow you to hold them for a while in a busy airport). And they didn’t have a separate room where we could be with them the way the Atlanta airport does. So we had to send them through the x-ray machine in their carriers. We were not happy, but it was only once and we had no other options. They were all good though and there was only a chorus of meows as we started the descent into Atlanta, and some meows as we were waiting in the long line of passport control. The adjustment to our house has been pretty good. The older ones (both gray) have hissed a bunch, but I guess it’s because they are old and maybe confused. I hope this will get better because I don’t have much time to work with them. The younger ones (both orange) have done really well and are now allowed in 1/2 of the main floor. We’ll let them in the rest of the house after the rest of our stuff comes. My human girls are doing great, although we are all really tired. The first 10-14 days were exhausting between shopping, doing appointments, cleaning, unpacking, school stuff, cat stuff, and I’d be bone tired every day. Then I just got busy with everything because registering for school was more trouble then I thought it would be and I was under so much pressure because school starts tomorrow!! But we are now mostly settled. The girls both start middle school tomorrow and they are very excited. The school seems awesome and good for both of them, which of course makes me happy. It will be an adjustment for them, esp Jr because 8th grade is prepping them for high school and she is in all advanced classes (they didn’t have advanced classes in Spain), but it’ll be good once we get the hang of this. As for me, I’m just really busy cleaning up, preparing for the big shipment of stuff coming in a month (we’ve gotten a small shipment of 7 essential boxes already) and trying to get my head on straight. (The second part is harder than the first ;-)).I’m sorry for the long post, but I’m happy to be back! I missed you guys, and I appreciate you thinking of us!!! I see there are a lot of newer regulars, so welcome to you all and I hope everyone has a great day!! Hugs!!

Well, at least Cathy won’t go hungry. Her giant [eye-roll] might impede her, but that’s nothing new, now, is it? [Smile]

Welcome back, lightenup! We’ve been thinking about you, and missing you, here in Cathy’s Corner. Wow—you’ve had a lot going on lately, but hope you’ll find some time to unwind and de-stress with us here. Good to “see” you again.

HI, MOM. Happy Sunday, “Cathy” Clan.

Welcome back lightenup! We kind of hoped your silence was because you were so busy getting settled in. Glad that, other than being really stressed and tired, there was nothing else wrong. Good to hear from you again.
