Well, it’s true. Unless you’re willing to sell it for a lower price (and I’m pretty positive Cathy will want top dollar for hers), then you have to spruce it up. They say that after some people improve their houses to get ready to sell, they almost don’t want to sell them. It’s better to improve your house as you live there so you can at least enjoy the fruits of your labor..Hello Cathy friends! Thanks for your words of support yesterday! My day did get better, although now I don’t like looking at the bump on my car. I guess it can get fixed eventually…Have a great Saturday!

We’ve got a number of things to do on our house (mostly on the outside) before we can even think about putting it on the market, including: replacing a number of boards that are rotting after 30 years worth of weather exposure (because we made the dumb-ass mistake of buying an all-wood house . . . then we made an even bigger mistake after that by not replacing the wood years ago with either vinyl siding or HardiePlank when we had the opportunity), painting the entire house, pressure washing the deck then re-staining it, replace some ground cover that’s look-ing a little sad and completely re-mulching all the landscaping. Whew! Hopefully we can get it all done this year so that it’ll be ready to go by next Spring should we find another house by then but I really have my doubts. It’s an awful lot of work for only two people to do simply because my husband is too stubborn to “call the guy” to get it done quicker and easier than we can by our-selves! :-(

    Hi, rgcviper! :-)

lightenup: Sorry you had such a hard day yesterday, Sis. If it makes you feel any better, I scraped up the side of my car one day several years ago when I tried to dodge the garage door on my way out and ended up hitting the wheelbarrow hanging onthe wall instead. I still don’t know how I managed to do it but I sure did! After that, my husband and I switched sides so that I’d have an easier time of backing out of the garage from then on. The point is . . . crap like this happens to everyone so try not tobe too hard on yourself. Okay? Meanwhile, I hope you’re having a better day today! :-)

Hello and Happy Saturday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone’s having a really great weekend so far! :-)
