The l rule I’ve found that usually applies to Other Peoples’ Kids is that if left to develop unobserved, they age at roughly twice the rate you think they should (and if their ages aren’t pegged to those of your own offspring).

I know how Cathy feels. Four of my nieces and nephews already have children of their own, but I swear that it was only last week that they themselves were little kids. And my youngest niece is actually seven, but she was born yesterday, and my 33-year-old cousin was only born three months ago, because that’s when I remember babysitting him and changing his diapers!

Weird! Andrea and Cathy seem to have changed clothes mid visit. The colors are different. ; )

Good Golly! It may have been 3 years since the last time Cathy and Andrea talked, but apparently, it’s been way longer thanthat since Cathy last saw those kids!!! Because unless they’re living in “Soap Opera Land” where a kid can literally be 6 years old today and 16 tomorrow, there’s no way in the world Gus and Zenith could have aged that much in such a short period of time. Grown — maybe. Aged — no.
Meanwhile, I hope Cathy saved the receipts for those flower children outfits because she doesn’t need them anymore ….. well, at least not for those 2 particular kids anyhow!!!!! ;-)

summerdog: I’m not surprised! Cathy’s now back in the original outfit she was wearing when she first got there and Andrea’s on her 3rd change of clothes since this little reunion of theirs began back on August 8th. It’s no wonder she’s got so much laundry laying around needing to be done! ;-)

LOL…..love how the boy says’ What is it?’….I know how fast kids grow…my niece just graduated high school…it seems like yesterday she was being potty-trained…..oh well….happy day all ye wonderful Cathy fans:)
