I don’t like this trend of hiring wedding planners. People really need to do their own work! Of course, my wedding was pulled together in three weeks and we only had 22 guests. But I did it all!

I hate to go to weddings these days. Just about every wedding I have gone to in the past has ended up in divorce, Except the last two….too soon…they need more time to find out they really hate each other in the end.

Again, I have to give dad a lot of credit for not running for the hills a long time ago.

My wedding, if and when it happens, will be planned by my sister and myself. I want a small wedding but that would mean hurt feelings since we both have a large family.

I still think Irving and Cathy would be much better off to forget about the big, fancy, expensive wedding and just elope to Las Vegas instead. No muss, no fuss. Boom. Done!!!!! ;-)

Hi, rgcviper! Hope you’re having a really great vacation. See you soon! :-)

O-Kay & lightenup: What I wouldn’t have given for a wedding planner’s help back when my husband and I got married 26 years ago! We did everything ourselves in 3 exhausting months with absolutely NO help from anyone else (including my mother) while we both worked too. I was so stressed out that I didn’t know how everything was going to get done in time and more than once, a few tears were shed on my part and threats of chucking it all and eloping to either Gatlinburg or Las Vegas instead of having an actual wedding and reception were made multiple times in the process . . . BY ME! Thankfully everything did get done in time and even though it was a much smaller affair than what I really wanted due to our extremely limited budget (since we weren’t getting any financial help of any kind from either of our familiesto help pay for it), miracle of miracles it still turned out pretty nice-ly in the end. But if I were getting married today? Without a doubt whatsoever, I’d definitely hire a wedding planner. S/he could deal with all the headaches involved with it while I sat back and enjoyed a much more stress-free, care-free day!!!!! ;-)

Hello and Happy Monday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyonehad a really nice day today! :-)

For my first wedding we too did it all ourselves — not fun. A wedding planner would have been a big help. For my second wedding, we went to the JP and then out to dinner — it was a lot more fun. We told everybody we were having a “shotgun” wedding because my hubby had run out his temporary visa. We called my Dad the night before and told him to “be there or be square.” We left a message on my brother’s voicemail. Everybody showed up, everybody behaved, and we had a great time. At the office, they threw rice at me when I took my hour off to go get married. :)
