I’m with Cathy on this one…except for the mall-walking bit. I prefer to make Valentine’s gifts, such as jewellry and scarves. (I find it to be much more personal and romantic that way. Plus, I avoid the sweater curse.)

I don’t know. As long as it’s something that took some thought and effort, it doesn’t matter where it was purchased. There are more choices on the internet and I can do my shopping late at night without wasting gasoline.Hello Cathy clan! Glad you enjoyed your birthday, QuietStorm! Hope your computer is fixed now, rgcviper! Have a great day, all!

Cathy’s wrong. She is a female that demands a V gift. Minimal effort (such as having your secretary order it) is all she deserves. V gifts should come from the heart….for heaven’s sake, that is what Valentine’s Day is about!

It’s the thought that counts, Cathy. As long as his Valentine’s Day gift is sweet, sentimental, and something his lady-love will like/love, it doesn’t matter how or where he bought it. The most important thing is that he remembered in plenty of time to get it and for that, he definitely deserves an “A” for his effort(s)!!!!! ;-)

Hi, rgcviper! Hope you get your computer problems worked out soon. I hate the helpless, frustrated feelings I get when stuff like that happens to me. :-(

QuietStorm27: Glad to hear you had a really great birthday yesterday!!!!! :-)

Hello and Happy Wednesday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone had a really nice day today! :-)

I’m with lightenup on this one. For me, the thought is more important than the source.

Fortunately, my computer seems to be running well again, after uninstalling some conflicting programs [knock on wood]. Thanks for your kind words, folks.

    HI, MOM. Greetings, “Cathy” Clan.

Yup — the Cathy gang gets it right — it’s the thought not the source that counts. I don’t even expect a V gift — we usually get each other a nice card, go out to dinner and let it go at that.
