    Check out this new book about customer service:Your Call Is (not that) Important to Us, by Emily Yellin.

    You learn why business, which wants customers, does quite the opposite when it comes to customer service.

    Lots of good web sites for customer help, such as GetSatisfaction.com, and Complaints.com. Interesting reading.

    Extended warranties are pretty much useless.On some things . . . if it breaks, it’s usually cheaper to replace it with a brand new item rather than try to fix it.On other things . . . whatever breaks usually isn’t covered by the warranty anyhow so you’re just better off saving your money and taking your chances that everything will work out okay in the end.
