Nothing like thinking of returning back to work after a vacation…puts a damper big-time on the vacation itself! I hope everyone has a great Tuesday doing what you usually do! ;)

Ship life was 7/24. I stood bridge 8-12 hours. I had a division of 115. Lucky I had a good Chief who work for me. I stole Nile’ s Filipino girl friend. He was married anyway. Many watches were during air ops. Things could get hairy. Death came out of nowhere in places you would not expect. I got to Japan, Hong Kong, Subic Bay, PI. But I just went to bars. Do things that would have throw me in jail if I was in the states. I had fistfuls of money from tax free and combat pay. Moreover, at sea, we had room and board and no place to spend our money. The bar girls love you when you just spend it on them.

Midland, why don’t you go to wordpress.com and create your own blog for your remembrances?

Yeah, what Cadbury said!

If I couldn’t take a real honest-to-goodness, get-away-from-it-all vacation from my job, then I just wouldn’t take one. If you’re going to work while you’re gone instead of relaxing and enjoying yourself, then why bother going anywhere? Just save the money, stay home and go to work!
Hi, rgcviper!
Cadbury: YES . . . thank you! I just skip right over them myself. I have no idea how he found us or why he’s even here. I read them at first but then quit because they were long, rambling, and most of the time had very little, if anything, to do with the comic itself or any comments anyone else made (regarding the comic). I, too, wish he’d take his personal remembrances to a blogging site made especially for things like this but I’m afraid we’re most likely out of luck where that’s concerned.
Hello and Happy Tuesday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope everyone had a really nice day today!

I agree that there are better places to post your life story than the comments section of a comic strip. I’m afraid that if that isn’t obvious, there isn’t much hope. I too just skip the rambles.

I would say “Technology obsession, anyone?” … except, I’m often guilty as charged myself. Whoops.
I like Cathy’s fingertips on the bottom of the last panel, too.
HI, MOM. Hello, “Cathy” Clan.
